We invite you to our 113th Annual Conference where you can listen to nationally known keynote speakers and attend over 100 practitioner-led concurrent sessions focused on successful practices for raising the performance of all students.
Kicking off the conference on Sunday, March 16, will be Rafe Esquith, award winning teacher and inspiring speaker. Rafe is a fifth grade teacher in Los Angeles who has gained national attention with his best selling books, There Are No Shortcuts and Teach Like Your Hair’s on Fire.
On Sunday, March 16, several pre-conference workshops will be available ranging from half to full-day sessions. These in-depth workshops will feature focused topics related to improving student performance. In addition, both keynote speakers will be offering seminars for interested conferees. These sessions were extremely popular last year.
The keynote speaker on Tuesday, March 18, will be Dr. Douglas Reeves, founder of the Center for Performance Assessment, an international organization dedicated to improving student achievement and educational equity. Through long-term relationships with school systems, Dr. Reeves and the Center help educators to improve student achievement through practical and constructive approaches to standards, assessment, and accountability. Dr. Reeves is the author of more than twenty books including Making Standards Work and The Learning Leader.
For schools wanting support and training in the AdvancED/NCA CASI school improvement process, we are offering several school improvement strands along with training sessions. Online registration and more information on NCA’s 113th Annual Conference will be available in the near future. |
