Our 2008 Annual Conference will focus on the theme, “Mission Possible: Improving Student, School, and District Performance.” We are seeking presenters who can share effective practices, strategies, and research for making possible what often times seems impossible – the task of continuously improving and sustaining improvements in student, school, and district performance.
Presentations should emphasize hands-on, practical information that can be easily applied to classroom, school, or district settings. Presentations focusing on improving student learning in the core content areas, closing the achievement gap, strengthening the articulation for students between grade levels and schools, monitoring student success and responding when students do not succeed, helping students prepare for the future, and implementing cross-curricular improvement efforts are especially appropriate. Also desired are sessions that address improving and sustaining school and district effectiveness. All presentations should include descriptions of the results attained by using the shared strategies and interventions.
