Public Representation
Our agreement with the United States Department of Education to accredit non-degree
granting postsecondary schools requires one seventh of the members of the Board
of Trustees to be public representatives. This amendment to the bylaws ensures
that this one-seventh requirement is met by allowing for the appointment of
an at-large public representative in the event that the rotation of public representatives
does not provide for the minimum number of public representatives. Click

Central Review Committee
This amendment pertains to the composition of the Central Review Committee,
the entity that reviews school and district portfolios to make an accreditation
recommendation. The changes eliminate the requirement for subcommittees of the
Committee. The elimination of this language allows for greater flexibility in
structuring the Committee to meet the review needs of the organization and its
schools/districts over time. Click here
